The waiver bubble is
completed by the Teacher Candidate during the semester of student teaching.
The Teacher Candidate should complete the waiver bubble BEFORE the mid-term
evaluation is completed,
however it is preferred that the student complete the waiver bubble during
the first three weeks of
January for the Spring or August for the Fall. The waiver bubble gives the
student the option of
choosing an open or closed file for the purposes of employment upon the
completion of student teaching.
An open file indicates that the student will look at the final evaluation. A
closed file indicates
the student will not see the final evaluation; that they waive their rights
to see it. School districts
prefer a closed file to ensure integrity of the evaluation.
