Application for Membership

Qualifications:

Qualified Students

  1. Will be in a degree plan in the College of Education or have applied for a degree plan leading to certification,
  2. Have a minimum of 12 hrs of course credit at Texas Tech,
  3. Be willing to complete a minimun of 20 hrs of service for the College,
  4. Have an unadjusted cumulative grade point average at Texas Tech of 3.00 or above,
  5. Complete a personal interview (You will be informed of the time for your interview),
  6. Not be restricted to membership on the basis of race, creed, color, gender, or national origin.

  2. Complete the application below and submit
  3. Obtain one letter of recommendation by a College of Education faculty member and submit by e-mail to toni.sim@ttu.edu
  4. Complete a personal interview. You will be contacted to determine the time.
  5. Submit your class schedule by email to toni.sim@ttu.edu

Duties

e-STAR members will support the work of the Office of Operations, Outreach and Public Relations by assisting with, but not limited to, such activities as recruitment, conducting tours of the building and campus, helping with public relation events, both external and internal, etc.

Time Commitment

Twenty hours of service for the College of Education per semester.

Compensation

$1000.00 per semester based on satisfactory performance
